From 2005 to 2014, he published Spinoff & Reorg Profiles, an investment research letter read by hundreds of hedge funds in a dozen countries, and used as course material at Columbia University's MBA program. Originally a computer programmer, Bill wrote one of the world's first commercially available SEC Edgar data mining systems for investors, profiled in Barron's in 2011. Bill holds degrees in engineering and physics from Caltech and Reed College, and an MBA from Stanford University.
